Confluence Learning Lab explores pottery techniques

WILLISTON — Get creative with clay and culture at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center’s Confluence Learning Lab at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. This free, family-friendly program is open to all ages, according to information from the interpretive center, located near Williston.

In this hands-on Learning Lab, participants will explore traditional pottery techniques and create their own coiled clay vessels. Learn about the materials, designs, and purposes behind various pottery pieces in our exhibits while shaping and decorating your own unique piece to take home. This program blends art, history, and creativity.

Fort Buford State Historic Site and the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center are managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is open Tuesday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and closed Sunday-Monday. Fort Buford is closed for the season.
