Alliance of Nonprofits to host recognition event

The Alliance of Nonprofits will host its 7th Annual Nonprofit Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Sleep Inn & Suites Convention Center in Minot.

According to Alliance of Nonprofits information, the event celebrates exceptional impact, innovation and collaboration of nonprofit organizations and individuals making a difference across the region.

This year’s luncheon will feature Amy Allender as keynote speaker.

The luncheon recognizes excellence in leadership, volunteerism and community service within the nonprofit sector. Attendees will enjoy networking, a plated lunch and recognition of dedication and hard work that strengthens the community.

“We’re excited to gather once again to recognize the incredible organizations and individuals who work tirelessly to make Minot and our region a better place,” said Ellen Fenner, president of the Alliance of Nonprofits. “This event is both a celebration and a reminder of the power of collaboration and compassion in our community.”

Awards will be presented in six categories: Emerging Leader, Outstanding Board Member of the Year, Most Impactful Business of the Year, Nonprofit Leader of the Year, Alliance of Nonprofits Member Organization of the Year, and the Lowell Latimer Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominations were submitted by the public, reviewed by a committee of community leaders and voted on by members of the Alliance of Nonprofits.

Finalists include:

– Emerging Leader of the Year: Kat Howard – Companions for Children; Benjamin Conlin – Civil Air Patrol

– Outstanding Board Member of the Year: Robyn Stoner – Civil Air Patrol; Zach Kruckenberg – Souris Valley Animal Shelter; Heidi Llewellyn – Souris Valley United Way and Companions for Children

– Most Impactful Business of the Year: Cashwise Foods; Verendrye Electric; Schultz Property Maintenance

– Alliance Member Organization of the Year: North Dakota Association for the Disabled (NDAD); Companions for Children; The Lord’s Cupboard

The luncheon is open to the public and tickets must be purchased in advance by Wednesday, Nov. 12, at eventbrite.com. Tickets include the meal.
