September temp above long-term average
This past month of September had an average temperature of 62 degrees, which is 5.6 degrees above the 118-year, long-term average of 56.4 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.
He said the lowest temperature of the month was 35 degrees, which occurred on Sept. 6. The high was 87 degrees on Sept. 2.
The total moisture for the month was 0.89 inch, which is 0.68 inch below the long- term average of 1.57 inches, Kraklau said.
