Minot organizations launch food drive
A two-week food drive begins Nov. 3 to support military and civilian personnel in the Minot area, benefiting the First Sergeant’s Council food pantry and Lord’s Cupboard, according to Keli Rosselli-Sullivan, Workforce Development and Military Liaison. For each pound collected, the Minot Area Community Foundation will contribute $1 to help expand food assistance.
Donations will be accepted during normal business hours at the Minot Area Chamber EDC, 1020 20th Ave. SW, and Magic City Hoagies, 123 Main St. S.
Items needed include canned food, nonperishables, feminine products, diapers, wipes, formula, dried herbs and spices, and hand and feet warmers.
Magic City Hoagies & Sweets will also issue meal vouchers to young airmen at the discretion of first sergeants and provide free meals to SNAP participants.
