Dunn County crash injures two
DUNN CENTER – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Dunn Center Tuesday, Sept. 30.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 7:14 a.m. Mountain Time, a 2023 Hino truck was traveling westbound on N.D. Highway 200, east of Dunn Center. At the same time, a 2014 Freightliner truck was traveling eastbound in the same area. The Hino truck crossed the
center line and collided head-on with the Freightliner.
The driver of the Hino truck, a 29-year-old man from Heidelberg, Mississippi, was airlifted to Trinity Hospital in Minot with serious injuries. The driver of the Freightliner, a 63-year-old Fargo man, was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, also with serious injuries.
The road was blocked for about five hours, and traffic was rerouted through a detour until the scene was cleared.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
