Homecoming Parade highlights Beaver pride
Minot State University’s Homecoming Parade filled downtown streets Saturday morning, Sept. 13, with floats, marching bands and plenty of Beaver red, despite overcast skies and a light sprinkle of rain.
The parade, part of this year’s celebration of 100 years of Beaver football, stepped off at 10:30 a.m., and drew students, alumni and community members to the route. Campus groups, local businesses and area organizations joined in, adding music, color and school spirit.
Following the parade, tailgaters gathered at the MSU Dome’s east lot ahead of the afternoon football game at Herb Parker Stadium.
The weekend marked a chance for Minot State to honor its traditions and connect with the community while celebrating a century of football history.
