CHS SunPrairie plans to close Ryder grain facility

RYDER – CHS SunPrairie has announced plans to close its grain facility in Ryder tentatively in late January 2026.

“As CHS continues to optimize its assets to best serve our farmer-owners while providing market access to the global supply chain, we have made the difficult decision to close the grain facility in Ryder, N.D. We are tentatively planning on closing the facility on Jan. 30, 2026. The Ryder facility is expected to receive grain as usual through the harvest. This closure only affects the grain assets operated by CHS SunPrairie. Dakota Agronomy Partners’ assets and operations are not impacted,” said Doug Naze, CHS senior director, Operations, in a statement provided to The Minot Daily News.

“Our goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible for our customers. We will continue to offer off-farm custom grain hauling service, and we encourage delivery to other CHS assets in the region,” he said.

CHS currently has eight elevators in the immediate region, including Ryder, according to CHS officials.

Starting at $2.99/week.
