WILLISTON — The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston will be holding a Confluence Learning Lab Saturday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m., featuring a special program in celebration of National Fossil Day. This free, family-friendly program is open to all ages.

Participants will explore the deep past of the region through hands-on activities, including handling real and replica fossils from the Confluence collection and learning how paleontologists study traces of ancient life. The program will also highlight the geologic history of the Confluence area and Bakken region, from inland seas to glaciers. Those attending can create their own take-home cast fossils.
