Three years for delivery of cocaine after entering change of plea agreement
A Minot man has been sentenced to serve three years in state prison after entering a change of plea to delivery of cocaine, a Class B felony.
Darian Doe Robinson, 54, Minot, entered his change of plea in North Central District Court on July 25, pleading guilty to the Class B felony count while two identical counts were dismissed in accordance with a plea agreement.
According to court documents, Robinson was charged after an investigation by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in October 2024. A BCI agent conducted three controlled purchases at a business on Burdick Expressway where Robinson was located. In total, the confidential informants involved in the operation purchased six grams of cocaine from Robinson.
District Judge Richard Hagar sentenced Robinson to 10 years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, with all but three years suspended pending the completion of three years of supervised probation. The court recommended Robinson be placed at Tompkins Rehabilitation and Corrections Center in Jamestown.
Robinson was assessed $775 in court fines and fees along with $600 in restitution.
