Staff changes made at local engineering firm

Two employees have been added to the staff at Ackerman-Esvold in Minot and another has achieved his asbestos certification.

Tony Benham has rejoined Ackerman-Estvold as a full-time senior designer. Benham earned an associate’s degree in architectural drafting and estimating from North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton. He has worked in the engineering industry for more than 36 years. Benham will be providing design expertise in CAD design on engineering and architectural projects, with a focus on land development, throughout North Dakota and Idaho.

Jayden Groninger has joined Ackerman-Estvold as a construction specialist and testing technician. Groninger earned his bachelor’s degree in geology from Minot State University and an associate’s degree in math from Dakota College at Bottineau. Groninger has experience in construction material testing and as a civil engineering field inspector. His responsibilities will include managing job sites and the oversight of construction engineering projects in the region.

Sam Paszek recently earned his Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and N.D. Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) asbestos inspector certifications through the University of North Dakota’s Environmental Training Institute.

Paszek is now accredited to perform EPA and NDDEQ asbestos inspections for structure renovations and demolitions for public and private businesses throughout North Dakota.
