Tobacco compliance enforcement results released

Three Minot businesses failed a tobacco compliance check conducted by the Minot Police Department during the months of May and June.

Of the 51 establishments randomly checked during the compliance enforcement, 48 passed the random check and properly checked ID’s to prevent the sale of tobacco products to minors.

According to Minot Police, one establishment was issued a first offense citation, while two others were cited for a second offense in 12 months. Penalties for a first offense in a 12-month period are $100, while the second offense penalty is a seven-day tobacco license suspension.

Starting at $2.99/week.
