Minot Symphony announces Beat Beethoven 5K
The Minot Symphony Orchestra will host its first Beat Beethoven 5K on Saturday, July 27, at 5:50 p.m. at Minot’s Oak Park.
According to MSO information, people are invited to walk, run or jog the 5K before the final note of Beethoven’s “5th Symphony” is played. This will be about 30 minutes.
Those who cross the finish line before the final note is played will earn the title of having officially “Beat Beethoven.” They will also receive a voucher for a free ticket to a select concert in the MSO’s upcoming 100th anniversary season.
Other participants who did not complete the race by the final note will receive a $5 discount voucher toward a MSO concert ticket.
After the run, individuals are encouraged to join Ascend Wellness as they lead post-race recovery activities. There will be food trucks, beverages and live music by Soulshine to finish the evening.
Visit the MSO website to register. Those planning to participate are encouraged to register before July 4 to receive an official race T-shirt.
All proceeds will go to support MSO and its mission to provide opportunities for musicians and patrons through music.
