Crochet classes offered during Midsummer Festival

Magi Crochet Club members from Minot High School and other experienced crocheters from the Minot area are offering one-on-one crochet instruction during the Midsummer Festival at the Scandinavian Heritage Park.

Classes are open to anyone ages 6 and older who wants to learn to crochet. Learn the basics of crocheting and crochet a washcloth or learn advanced/specialized skills in crocheting.

Classes are scheduled for Saturday , June 21, from 10 a.m.-noon, 12:30-2:30 p.m., and/or 3-5 p.m.

If the Midsummer Festival is canceled due to poor weather, the classes will be relocated, and students will be contacted ahead of time.

The cost per class is $30 (supplies included) or $25 (no supplies). Supplies needed are a 5mm hook, cotton yarn and supplementary materials, or bring your own supplies/project.

Those who bring items to donate to the Minot Area Homeless Coalition will receive $1 off the registration per item, up to $5 back. Donations requested include food pantry items, convenience foods, personal care items, household items such as soaps, tissues, garbage bags and cleaning products as well as plastic eating utensils, tin foil, can openers, plastic food bags, seasonings and condiments.
