Chase nominated US attorney for ND

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sens. John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer announced on Wednesday the Trump administration nominated Nicholas Chase to serve as United States Attorney for the District of North Dakota, according to information from the senators’ offices.

Earlier this year, the senators recommended President Trump nominate Chase for the position. Appointed by former Gov. Doug Burgum, Chase currently serves as a N.D. District Court Judge for the East Central Judicial District. He previously served for 20 years in the U.S. Attorney’s office for the District of N.D, including as Acting U.S. Attorney and First Assistant U.S. Attorney. A N.D. native, Chase alsohas worked in private practice and as a federal judicial law clerk.
