Trinity foundation provides KDU recliners
Following a year-end campaign, Trinity Health Foundation has announced $49,500 was raised to support the purchase of 11 heated recliners for patients of Trinity Health’s Kidney Dialysis Unit, which has been operating at full capacity and serving more patients than ever before.
For many patients undergoing kidney dialysis, the hours spent in treatment are often long and uncomfortable, particularly when seated for an extended period of time. The new heated recliners provide not only essential care to those in need, but also critical comfort during long treatment sessions, according to a foundation news release.
“I am deeply grateful to our generous donors who made it possible for us to purchase these heated recliners. The recliners provide a vital source of comfort and warmth during what can often be long and draining treatments. Thanks to the kindness and support of our donors, we are able to offer patients not just a place to sit, but a space where they can relax and focus on their healing,” Dusty Zimmerman, foundation director, said in the release.
