Trinity Health will host a community blood drive on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. in Prairie Rose 2 at Trinity Health Hospital.

Typically, the holiday season is a time where blood needs spike, according to Jodi Grunseth, Trinity Health Blood Bank supervisor, so the ability to have a blood drive during these times is essential to help those in need.

Trinity Health, Vitalant and Town & Country Credit Union have teamed up to make this opportunity possible. Refreshments, snacks and volunteers will be provided, courtesy of Town & Country Credit Union.

Donating blood takes about one hour, including registration, a brief medical screening, blood collection and refreshments.
