Western Plains Opera is set to hold “American Song ®evolution: A Journey through American Song” featuring Laura Strickling and Daniel Schlosberg. The free concert will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State University.
“The concert is a gift from MSU and the Western Plains Opera Company to the city of Minot” said Dr. Emerson Eads, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at MSU.
Strickling is a two time Grammy Awards nominee, acclaimed for her voice and presence on the concert stage. Daniel Schlosberg is a Grammy-nominated pianist and has appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Strickling will be teaching a master class Friday for MSU students, giving them a special opportunity to gain impressionable knowledge from her.
