A southeast Minot home was damaged in an attic fire Thursday, the City of Minot reported in a news release.

The Minot Fire Department was dispatched to 105 8th Ave. SE at 2:52 p.m. for reports of a fire in an attic.

Crews from Station 2 arrived on scene in less than three minutes and observed smoke coming from the attic. Firefighters immediately initiated suppression efforts and quickly extinguished the fire, minimizing property damage.

The building was unoccupied, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
