Minot airport receives taxiway funding
Minot International Airport has been awarded more than $6.14 million to rehabilitate portions of its paved taxiways and replace taxiway lighting, U.S. Sens. Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven, both R-ND, announced in news releases.
“North Dakota airports are essential infrastructure for our economy,” Cramer said. “These funds will help our commercial and municipal airports make needed repairs, improvements, and expansions to ensure efficient operations.”
“It’s imperative that North Dakotans are able to fly and travel safely throughout the state and country, and we will continue to work to secure funding for these major airport updates,” Hoeven said.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program provides funding to airports nationwide for planning, capital, and safety enhancement projects. More than $38 million in AIP funding has been awarded to North Dakota airports in Fiscal Year 2024.
