Alzheimer’s, dementia education offered this fall
BISMARCK – The Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter is hosting a virtual series to educate participants on Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. Sessions will be hosted over Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays in October and November, and there is no cost to attend.
The first topic in the series is “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia” on Oct. 2. Learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, stages and risk factors, current research and treatments, and helpful resources. Presenter will be Susan Milender, NDSU Extension/Barnes County.
Future topics in the series include: Dementia Conversations – Driving, Doctor Visits, Legal and Financial Planning, Oct. 16; 10 Warning Signs, Oct. 30; and Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body – Tips from the Latest Research, Nov. 13.
