- Audin Rhodes/MDN David Scheresky stands next to a New Zealand rabbit belonging to Scheresky’s girlfriend, Kassidy Kraft, who was unable to show the rabbit herself due to a schedule conflict. The rabbit is the 2024 Grand Market Class Champion in the Open Class Rabbit Show at the State Fair. Scheresky himself has been showing animals since he was around 8 years old in 4-H and later in FFA. He now enters the open class shows as an adult.
- Audin Rhodes/MDN Cora Hendrickson, 7, holds her Holland Lop rabbit who she’s affectionately named “Bluey” because the rabbit’s fur is grayish blue in color. Bluey won the “Best Opposite” prize in the Holland Lop class category of the Open Class Rabbit Show at the State Fair. The Best Opposite goes to the runner-up of the class champion and is also always the opposite gender of the class champion. Cora and Bluey also won Best Opposite in the youth competition at the State Fair.
