NEW TOWN – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a vehicle and construction equipment crash occurring near New Town on Tuesday.

Brightyn Foote, 18, New Town, died in the crash. He was driving a 2017 Honda CR-V that crashed into the rear end of a 2014 John Deere 744 Payloader driven by Ramon Fuentes Mendiola, 25, of Mexico. Mendiola was not injured. The crash occurred about 4 a.m., on N.D. Highway 23, three miles east of New Town.

According to the Highway Patrol, there was light rain and the road was wet at the time of the crash.
