Meeting set on family therapy model
The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services will hold a special meeting in Minot Tuesday, June 18, on “Functional Family Therapy: An Overview for Stakeholders and Providers.”
The department will be partnering with Functional Family Therapy services this year. The presentation will provide an overview of the Functional Family Therapy model, its target population, expected outcomes and implementation strategies for success.
Functional Family Therapy is a short-term, structured, and intensive family therapy intervention for youth ages 11 to 18. It leverages the family dynamic as a key mechanism for change in reducing adolescent behavioral and emotional concerns.
The Minot meeting will be held from 9-11 a.m. at North Central Human Service Center, 1015 S. Broadway, Suite 18, Room 311.
A virtual presentation will be provided on Friday, June 21. Interested individuals should contact the department for information.
