Students selected for leadership seminar
JAMESTOWN – Nine area students have been selected to represent their schools at the upcoming North Dakota Leadership Seminar (NDLS) from May 31-June 2 at the University of Jamestown.
NDLS is a non-profit organization that brings together talented students and local businesses to focus on leadership development, service and issue awareness through discussions and informal debate.
“NDLS commits to collaborating with our high schools’ students on building leadership skills and community involvement. We hope every student attending gains the tools and resources to help grow and continue growing their leadership skills. We hope each student utilizes their newly acquired or enhanced skills in their community to give back and make an impact,” said Mitch Johnson and Jenna Meldahl, seminar co-chairs.
The students selected are: Oliver Schaefer, Des Lacs-Burlington High School; Ava Walen, Des Lacs-Burlington High School; Hunter Barnard, Minot Central Campus High School; Ella Withers, Minot North High School; Mikah Jarmin, Minot North High School; Adava Kajune, Nedrose High School; Brea Pitner, Nedrose High School; Skotti Beck, South Prairie High School; and Mara Beeter, South Prairie High School.
