Minot awarded CDBG grant funds

The North Dakota Department of Commerce announced Wednesday that Minot was awarded $410,000 from the Governor’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The funds will be used to construct multi-family housing for low- to moderate-income individuals and families.

The department awarded a total of $6.77 million to four communities. The City of Turtle Lake was awarded nearly $1.17 million for replacement of a sanitary sewer, upgrades to a lift station and lagoon repairs. Elgin also received $3.58 million for replacement of a water main and West Fargo received $1.61 million for land acquisition for housing.
