During the past month of April, the average temperature was 43 degrees, which was 2.6 degrees warmer than the 117-year, long-term average of 40.4 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Center, south of Minot.

He said the lowest temperature of the month was 12 degrees on April 1 and the high was 78 degrees on April 26.

The total moisture for the month was 1.64 inches, which is 0.16 inches above the long-term average of 1.48 inches, Kraklau said.
