Stanley man dies in dirt bike crash

STANLEY – A 37-year-old man from Stanley died after crashing a dirt bike in a field near Stanley on Sunday.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the driver, who has not yet been identified, left his home shortly after 7 p.m. on his 2015 KTM AG dirt bike and entered a nearby field. The driver struck a rock and lost control of the dirt bike and was found a short while later.

Lifesaving measures were performed on scene. He was transported to the Mountrail County Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The crash is under investigation by the N.D. Highway Patrol.
