The Renville County Job Development Authority (RCJDA) has assisted in many business startups and expansions through the years. It was created to address the critical issues of economic development and diversification within Renville County. By encouraging a business supporting environment, this in turn not only strengthens the entire community, but the entire county.

The primary purpose of the RCJDA is to create new jobs, save existing jobs, expand the local tax base, increase capital investment, and expand the primary sector and financial base of the area. The county has generated growth from the participation and dedication of local residents who choose to reinvest and volunteer their skills and talents. They provide financial incentives, through interest free loans and grants, to businesses that desire to begin, expand, or locate to Renville County.

The RCJDA realizes that community development is not just growth and that our current small businesses are the heart of a healthy town. The RCJDA will strive to continue to see local businesses succeed, prosper, and thrive.

Double Js Bar and Grill is owned and operated by John and Jenna Nilsen and is located on the Main Street in Mohall. The Nilsen’s have owned and operated Double Js since January of 2022. They provide a family-friendly dining atmosphere, serving a variety of food and running daily specials. If you need a night out, they have Bingo on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting at 7 p.m. They offer a Beer of the Month Club, sponsor dart teams, have 10 video gaming machines and paper pull tabs. They are also highly active in the community.

Oaklee Lane was founded in 2021 and is operated by Elsa Ellingson and named after their first child, Oaklee. After having four children she realized how hard it was to find affordable children’s clothing. So, she started Oaklee Lane, a small boutique she runs out of her house. Along with children’s clothing she also carries women’s clothing, accessories, and several handmade items such as hats, koozies, key chains, etched glasses, custom cutting boards, freshies (car air fresheners), wax melts and much more. She travels to various vendor and craft shows in the area.
