Delayed plans mean no traffic change
Due to scheduling complications in the Phase MI-5 Northeast Tieback Levee project, Fifth Avenue Northeast, east of Third Street Northeast, will not be closed starting today as previously stated, according to engineers with the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project.
Traffic control will not be adjusted for this delay, and the current detour route will remain in place.
It is still anticipated that Third Street Northeast will be closed to traffic in early May and will be unavailable for through traffic for about 40 days. An updated notice will be shared when construction dates are known.
