MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – Airmen from Minot Air Force Base returned home on Wednesday from their most recent Bomber Task Force deployment to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.

The task force, given the name 23rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron (EBS) and composed of about 280 airmen and six B-52H Stratofortresses, was assigned to accomplish 36 strategic deterrence missions within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility during the six-week deployment.

Strategic bomber missions enhance readiness and provide the training necessary to respond to any potential crisis or challenge across the globe. These missions demonstrate the Pacific Air Force’s capacity to dominate, deny and deter any aggression or influence from adversaries.

Minot AFB’s participation in Bomber Task Force missions enables aircrews, maintainers and support personnel to integrate with allied and partner nations in the region while completing familiar global strike mission sets.
