Minot man announces candidacy for GOP District 40 House Seat

Minot resident Ronald Westberry Jr. has announced his candidacy as a Republican for a District 40 House seat.

Westberry came to Minot in 2011 to work as an electrician. He started his career as an electrician for Local 292 and worked as a union construction electrician and as service electrician for Minneapolis Public Schools for 20 years. Westberry worked for Mayer Electrical Company in Minot before retiring.

Westberry and his wife, Angela, have been married for 38 years and have four adult children, eight grandchildren and two sons-in-law.

“I want to see my grandchildren with the same freedoms I have had in America. A freedom of speech and a Constitution intact, that makes us still the greatest country on Earth. And that starts at the state level, with godly standards with righteousness and justice for all,” Westberry said in his announcement.
