ND Medicaid renewals more than half complete
BISMARCK – More than half of the state’s 130,000 Medicaid renewals are complete for North Dakotans enrolled in North Dakota Medicaid or the Medicaid Expansion program, according to the North Dakota Health and Human Services.
Since April, the human service zone offices have been reviewing eligibility for people whose coverage was temporarily extended because of the COVID-19 public health emergency to ensure members still qualify for coverage. This work will continue through March 2024.
A robust notification campaign has been underway since April to encourage ND Medicaid members to update their contact information so HHS can reach out to them with important information about their coverage.
Fremming said that members who receive a renewal form in the mail should take immediate action and respond within 30 days otherwise they will lose coverage. Members also can complete the information on the Self-Service Portal.
