Ward County 4-H begins new year

The new 4-H year began on Sept. 1, so now is the time when youth can enroll or re-enroll in 4-H.

Many of Ward County’s 13 4-H clubs are kicking off their first meetings this month. The clubs typically meet once a month.

4-H is a national youth development organization for urban and rural youth ages 5 to 18. Youth gain knowledge in topic areas of their choice and develop life skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork and citizenship. They also learn the importance of hard work and service to their community.

Those interested in attending a meeting or learning more about 4-H should contact the NDSU Extension Ward County Office by calling 857-6450 or visiting 900 13th St. SE in Minot.
