Keynote speakers announced for Recovery Reinvented

Recovery Reinvented, an event created by First Lady Kathryn Burgum, has announced its keynote speakers.

Recovery Reinvented is an annual event that focuses on ending the stigma of addiction by connecting people to addiction, recovery and mental health organizations and resources from across the state. The event features addiction recovery experts who share testimonials and cultivate recovery-positive cultures in the workplace and community.

The speaker lineup includes: Dr. Lipi Roy, an international speaker, media personality and YouTuber who founded SITA MED, an addiction and health speaking company; Dr. Stephen Loyd, chief medical officer for Cedar Recovery in Tennessee, current chair of the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council and recovered opioid and benzodiazepine addict; and Scott Davis, who served as executive director of the North Dakota Indian Affairs Commission and is 17 years sober.

This year’s event will be held at Minot State University in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall on Thursday, Oct. 5. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required and open for in-person and online attendees on Eventbrite.
