TOWNER – A 46-year-old Rugby man is deceased and a 47-year-old Towner man seriously injured following a one-vehicle rollover near Towner, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported Sunday.

According to the Highway Patrol, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on Willow Road near the intersection with 69th Street Northeast, about four miles north of Towner, sometime before 7:28 a.m. The Silverado veered off the road to the right, causing the driver to overcorrect and the vehicle to enter the east ditch, where it rolled. Neither occupant was reported to be wearing a seat belt and there were no airbags.

One occupant was ejected and pronounced deceased on scene. The other occupant was transported to a Rugby hospital.

The crash, including confirmation of the driver and passenger, is under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
