Submitted Photos by Karen LoneFight LEFT: This photo was taken about 13 miles west of White Shield on Tuesday, Aug. 1, about 7 p.m., just before golf ball-sized hail dropped from the sky, followed by pea-sized hail and then heavy rain. Chris Everett, maintenance manager for Ree Lodge Management, said more than 50 homes in the White Shield area were damaged and there may be more. Crews were out all night boarding windows and assessing water-damaged roofs. The power was off until 4 a.m. Wednesday.
