The 140-ton hydraulic truck crane will be used to remove some large items from the rooftop and seventh floor of the M building, such as the window washing platform, cooling tower and roof access hatch. Three boilers, chillers and an incinerator also will be removed through the roof access, according to EPIC Companies. The work is expected to finish by Thursday, when the crane will be removed and Second Avenue re-opened.
