Minot bank’s summer snack drive begins

First Western Bank and Trust will hold the “Essentials For Learning” Summer Snack Drive at three of its Minot locations. The snack drive began Thursday and will continue through Aug. 10.

Snacks will be collected over the course of the summer to donate to “Essentials For Learning” partner schools. Although item requests range from deodorant to books, the most requested items are snacks including granola bars, goldfish crackers, snack-size bags of pretzels, fruit leathers, beef jerky, unsweetened applesauce and trail mix. Collection bins will be placed near the entrances of each First Western Bank & Trust Minot locations. The participating schools are Longfellow Elementary, Sunnyside Elementary, Washington Elementary, Dakota Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Jim Hill Middle School and Sawyer Public School.
