Chlorpyrifos disposal options announced

BISMARCK – North Dakota farmers and pesticide dealers who have chlorpyrifos insecticide products made by two manufacturers can now arrange to return the products. Corteva Agriscience and ADAMA US have been given permission by the Environmental Protection Agency to take back the chemicals.

The tolerances for use of the insecticide expired Feb. 28, 2022, for all commodities.

To participate in Corteva’s return and credit program, contact Corteva customer service by June 23 for summer collection or Sept. 22 for fall collection at USCustomerService@corteva.com for all pack sizes including totes or Korsen.Stiner@corteva.com for bulk tanks.

More information about the return program and eligible products is available at regulations.gov/document/EPA-HQ-OPP-2022-0223-0030.
