Man sentenced for dealing in stolen property

Richard Lee Yecoshenko was sentenced on Thursday to one year in prison, all suspended, and one year of unsupervised probation for Class C felony dealing in stolen property in a case involving stolen catalytic converters. Yecoshenko entered an Alford plea, meaning he maintains his innocence but recognizes that he could be found guilty if the case went to trial.

Yecoshenko was ordered to have no contact with businesses that were victims of the theft ring, to pay $1,525 in court costs, and restitution of $848 in one case, $978.22 in another case, and $4,506.50 in a third case, jointly with people who were charged as his co-defendants.

According to the Ward County Sheriff’s Office earlier this year, an investigation revealed that Yecoshenko was purchasing stolen catalytic converters from co-defendants in the case.
