Man charged with tampering with a witness
Myron Marlin Henry, 25, is charged with Class C felony tampering with a witness and Class A misdemeanor disobedience of a judicial order in district court in Minot.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Henry is prohibited from having contact with a victim in another case. He was charged in May with Class A felony use of a 17-year-old girl in a sexual performance and Class C felony luring a 17-year-old girl by computer. Both offenses allegedly occurred in May and one offense involved a video call Myron Henry participated in with the girl from the Ward County Jail.
In the latest case, Henry allegedly had a phone conversation from the jail with the young woman and asked her to marry him so she wouldn’t be able to testify against him in future court proceedings. He told her he could be forced to register as a sex offender if he is convicted in the other case.
Henry was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the new charges on Wednesday in district court in Ward County.
