Man charged with possession of stolen car

Tony Maurice Boose, 35, Minot, is charged with Class B felony theft of property for allegedly stealing a silver 2011 Cadillac Escalade that had been parked at the Minot International Airport and was valued at $16,835.

The owner of the vehicle reported the vehicle stolen when she returned to Minot and found it missing.

According to court records, Boose was spotted driving the vehicle on Aug. 5 in Minot but police were not able to stop him. Police located the stolen vehicle outside an apartment complex in northwest Minot on Monday and had it towed to an impound lot. Boose was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on Wednesday in Minot. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in another case. When he was searched, an officer recovered keys to the stolen Cadillac in Boose’s backpack. There were an unusual number of keys for other vehicles in the backpack as well, according to the affidavit.

Boose was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge on Thursday before Judge Stacy Louser.
