CANDO — Law enforcement officers are investigating the deaths of four people in southwest Towner County in what appeared to be a murder-suicide.

According to the Towner County Sheriff’s Office, the murder-suicide is suspected based on evidence at the scene, including a firearm found near one of the deceased. Authorities said there is no danger to the public and no arrests were made.

The four people were found shot to death in a field in southwest Towner County on Monday. Their names and ages were not immediately released on Tuesday pending notification of relatives.
