WILLISTON — This year’s Upper Missouri Valley Fair in Williston kicked off Wednesday evening with a free beef and baked bean feed.

There are a lot of interesting things at this year’s fair including the 4-H exhibits and live concerts in the evening with the band Judd Hoos playing Friday and again tonight.

If that is not enough there are the Midway shows such as chainsaw carving, a magician, a motorcycle traveling around a large metal globe with a long pole attached and woman doing hoop tricks, a Ninja Experience, a lady named Diana Rose who dresses as three different 8-foot-tall beneficial bugs (a bee, a ladybug and a butterfly) and a petting zoo. There are also stock car races being held.

The fair runs through Sunday.
