Tiffany Jayne Frederick, 32, Minot, is charged in district court in Ward County with Class C felony simple assault on a police officer, Class C felony contact by bodily fluids on a police officer, and Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest on Saturday. According to a police affidavit, Frederick allegedly struck and spat at a Ward County sheriff’s deputy who was attempting to handcuff her on Saturday evening in Old Settler’s Park in Burlington. Law enforcement had responded to a report of an argument and physical confrontation ongoing at the park. Frederick was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident, according to the affidavit.

She made an initial appearance on the charges on Monday before Judge Todd Cresap.
