ROSS – A Williston woman was injured when her vehicle and a BNSF train crashed six miles northwest of Ross on Wednesday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said Kimberly Northridge, 34, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 pickup, was going south on 95th Avenue NW, near Ross. She failed to yield to an eastbound BNSF train. The train was empty. The pickup was struck in the passenger side and the driver was ejected through a window. Northridge was taken to a Stanley hospital and later transferred to Trinity Hospital in Minot. The train’s engineer and conductor were not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
