Whitney Faye Racine, 35, Minot, who has been charged with Class AA felony accomplice to murder, committed with extreme indifference, made her initial appearance in district court in Minot on Friday afternoon, hours after she was arrested, and is being held at the Ward County Jail on $1 million bond.
Her co-defendant, Mathew Richard Anderson, 34, of Minot, made his initial appearance on a Class AA felony murder committed with extreme indifference charge hours earlier, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Judge Stacy Louser had said during the hearing that a recent state supreme court decision reaffirmed that a probable cause determination must be made within 48 hours of the arrest of a defendant and he or she must be brought before a magistrate. Anderson is also being held on a $1 million bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for both defendants for April 7 before Judge Todd Cresap.
Minot police identified the victim of a shooting in Minot last Thursday as Wade Goodale, 42, of Minot and Anderson and Racine have been charged in connection with that incident.
