American Legion, Auxiliary district meetings set for Minot
Members of North Dakota’s American Legion Posts of the 6th and 9th District and their Auxiliary will gather in Minot at the Moose Lodge for their 2022 Spring District Meeting on Saturday, March 19, starting at 2 p.m. A social and lunch will start at 1 p.m. The cost of the meal is $10.
West Region Department Vice Commander Tom Ryan of Williston Post 37 will preside over the session. Department Commander Steve Anderson of Cando Post 79 and other Department officers will be in attendance.
Legionnaires will be brought up to date on upcoming youth activities, such as American Legion Boys State to be held in June on the North Dakota State College of Science campus in Wahpeton and the American Legion baseball season.
Representatives will elect a new district commander and a district vice commander for the coming, 2022-2023 Legion year. Joining the members of the district will be area department committee members, department vice commander and candidates for various Legion offices seeking support at the Department Convention in Dickinson, June 24-26.

The North Dakota Department of the American Legion encompasses nearly 12,000 Legionnaires, 6,000 Auxiliary and 1,000 Sons of the American Legion throughout posts in 206 North Dakota communities. Department headquarters is in West Fargo.
