Bishop Ryan students attend March for Life in Washington D.C.

Submitted Photo Bishop Ryan High School students attended the March for Life in Washington D.C. last week, joining thousands from across the country for the 49th annual pro-life march. March coordinator Brian Rodgers, a teacher at the school, said the 24 sophomores through seniors took a 30-hour bus ride to reach the capitol. The annual event also included educational activities. Rodgers said the students also had an opportunity to view the changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetery and travel to the site of the Battle of Gettysburg as well as attending Mass at different shrines and basilicas. They returned home on Sunday. Pictured are the group of students before Mass on the way towards the March’s starting point. — Andrea Johnson
