Submitted Photo Signs focusing on Jesse White, standout basketball player from White Shield, were placed in early November at the north and south sides of the White Shield community. The signs were provided by Woodstone Inc., contractor of the new Ralph Wells Sr. Community Center and other ongoing projects in the community, and White Shield Representative Fred Fox and the Three Affiliated Tribes (Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation) Business Council. White now is attending North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton and is a member of the college’s basketball team.
